MUMBAI (Commodity Online): Barley gained 3.21%. July contract rose to a high of 1482 Rs/qtl. Short covering was noted for Barley at the lower levels. Kapas and Pepper were also in the gainer?s list.
Barley May rose to 1.87% to 1430. Expectations of fresh crop arrivals have impacted the market prices. June contract rose 2.23 to 1442 Rs/qtl.
Kapas April rose 1.03% to 904.50 Rs/20 kg and February rose 1.84% to 839.50. Pepper March gained 1.44% to 36250 Rs/qtl.
Soybean June has fallen 2.34% to 3151 Rs/qtl. Weak global market sentiments and dry weather conditions has impacted the Soybean markets. Soybean February declined 1.17% to 3263 and April declined to 1.55% to 3143.
Refined Soy Oil declined 1.17% to 685.80 Rs/10 kg. Higher volumes have and weak market sentiments from Argentina have impacted the Soy markets. Soy Oil May has declined 1.35% to 685.20.
